Kebabs are known worldwide, and in Australia, kebabs are one of the popular takeout foods. But did you know that homemade kebab with real, authentic Turkish and Middle Eastern flavours is so much more delicious? We promise that this eggplant kebab recipe is as devine and aromatic as it looks!

Preparation:

  • Preparing the eggplant
  • Cooking the meatballs
  • Creating the sauce

Preparing the eggplant:

Peel the eggplants in stripes, cut them as shown in the video, soak in salted water (at least 30 minutes). Dry, fry on both sides in oil.

Cooking the meatballs:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 4 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 egg
  • Seasoning: salt & pepper & paprika & cumin

Combine all the ingredients and make small meatballs and fry them in oil on both sides.

Creating the sauce:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup hot water

Cut the green pepper into squares, then wrap the eggplants and meatballs as shown in the video. Pour the sauce and bake in a preheated 200°C oven for 30-35 minutes.
